Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran integrasi komunikasi multimodal dalam meningkatkan pemahaman audiens pada media edukasi digital. Pendekatan mixed methods digunakan dengan desain eksplanatori sekuensial yang menggabungkan analisis kualitatif struktur multimodal dan analisis kuantitatif tingkat pemahaman audiens. Data dikumpulkan melalui analisis konten video edukasi, kuesioner, serta wawancara mendalam untuk menggali pengalaman audiens secara komprehensif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas komunikasi multimodal ditentukan oleh kohesi antar elemen, terutama dalam aspek keselarasan, relevansi, dan sinkronisasi. Konten dengan integrasi multimodal yang baik terbukti meningkatkan pemahaman audiens secara signifikan dibandingkan konten yang tidak terstruktur. Temuan juga menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan audiens tidak selalu berbanding lurus dengan pemahaman, sehingga diperlukan keseimbangan antara daya tarik visual dan fungsi kognitif. Selain itu, multimodalitas mendukung pembelajaran yang lebih inklusif karena mampu mengakomodasi berbagai gaya belajar. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis pada pengembangan konsep kohesi multimodal serta implikasi praktis bagi desain media edukasi digital. Dengan demikian, integrasi multimodal yang dirancang secara sistematis menjadi strategi penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di era digital.
